(er)Title:adventure of madness, magic and menace -> adventure of madness, magic, and menace
(er)The Coming Of Grey Star:creators of the Earth -> Magnamund
[so: the Earth -> Magnamund]
(er)The Coming Of Grey Star:enchantments, magical mists and mage winds
(er)The Coming Of Grey Star:nameless mountains, untamed forests and lands -> nameless mountains, untamed forests, and lands [LM]
(er)The Coming Of Grey Star:new-found -> newfound
(er)The Game Rules:If at any time your ENDURANCE score fall to zero, you -> If at any time your ENDURANCE score fall to zero or below, you
(er)Powers:are, is -> are is
(er)Rules For Combat:This process of combat continues until the ENDURANCE points of either the enemy or Grey Star are reduced to zero, at which point the one with the zero score is declared dead. If Grey Star is dead, the adventure is over. If the enemy is dead, Grey Star proceeds but with his ENDURANCE and WILLPOWER points reduced. -> This process of combat continues until the ENDURANCE points of either the enemy or Grey Star are reduced to zero or below, at which point that combatant is declared dead. If Grey Star is dead, the adventure is over. If the enemy is dead, Grey Star proceeds but with his ENDURANCE and WILLPOWER points possibly reduced.
(er)Rules for Combat:You now have the number of ENDURANCE points lost by Grey Star. To calculate the number lost by the enemy, multiply this by the number of WILLPOWER points that Grey Star elected to use. Now you have the final number of ENDURANCE points lost by both Grey Star and his enemy in this round of combat. (E represents points lost by the enemy; GS represents points lost by Grey Star.) -> GS represents the number of ENDURANCE points lost by Grey Star. To calculate the number lost by the enemy, multiply the number marked 'E' by the number of WILLPOWER points that Grey Star elected to use. Now you have the final number of ENDURANCE points lost by both Grey Star and his enemy in this round of combat.
[LM: I thought former wording is possibly unclear--it sounds like the enemy always loses 3x as much as Grey Star]
[JB: "...multiply this by..." -> "...multiply the number listed for the enemy by..."]
(er)Sage Advice:A score of zero WILLPOWER points -> A score of zero WILLPOWER points or below
(er)sage:at all, so be -> at all; so be [LM: 'so' is only a conjunction when it is short for 'so that'. in this case, it's an adverb, so the semi-colon is needed]

(er)42:fear, anger and frenzy -> fear, anger, and frenzy
(er)44:Gurlu Swamp -> Gurlu Marshes [tw: The GS map says "Gurlu Marshes". Likewise do 02tfc sections 28, 93, 156, 208, 225 and 257, and 04wotw section 1. But! 02tfc section 44 says "Gurlu Swamp", 194 says "Gurlu Marsh", and 257 also says "Gurlu Swamplands" - although the last one seems to be meant to be descriptive rather than a proper name.]
(er)52:brave companions; Urik's wrinkled -> brave companions: Urik's wrinkled
(ft)61:[LM: does this ref. require footnote 7 which appears in ref. 20?]
(er)66:sinister vision. His face -> sinister vision, his face
(er)66:long bony claw-like fingers -> long, bony, claw-like fingers
(er)17, 72, 145:some Azawood leaves -> an Azawood Leaf [lm: you only need one (cf. 59) ]
[so: The player is told to record them on the Action Chart as "Azawood Leaves", though]
[jb: That's true if you get them from Madam Tarlas in 01gstw:183 where it says, "1 Bundle of dried Azawood Leaves (a base constituent that will charm up to 4 magical potions)".
In 02tfc:216, it reads "You may break off three of these leaves and place them in your Herb Pouch. Remember to mark these items on your Action Chart and don’t forget that your Herb Pouch can hold only a maximum of eight items at any one time."
So we seem to have two conflicts. First is that the reader gets 4 doses in 01gstw and 3 leaves/doses in 02tfc. The footnote in 299 assumes the reader started with 4 doses.
Second, 01gstw implies that these are a single item while 02tfc suggests they are separate. This is probably OK since one is a bundle and the other is loose leaves.
But coming back to the reported issue, it makes it harder to make the language inclusive. We could do something awkward like "an Azawood Leaf or a portion from a Bundle of Azawood Leaves".
(er)76:bolt holes -> bolt-holes
(er)82:[LM: no mention of magdi hound's resistance to magic cf. refs. 123 & 61 (charity bonus for helping chaksu?)]

(er)86, 249:towards the Earth [lm: towards the ground or towards Magnamund?]
[so: or, "...the world".]
[jb: "towards the earth" ?? (cf. 126). Also in 249, I suggest: of the Earth -> of Magnamund.]

(er)160, 268:[bk: The choices in 160 and 268 should be swapped. It doesn't make sense that if you expand your shield to include Urik, the Shadakine's bolt is _less_ likely to hit your shield.]
[jb: Expending more WP and going to 160 gives the reader a 70% chance of going to 118. Conserving WP and going to 268 gives the reader a 30% chance of going to 118.
You go to 160 if you include Urik in the shield. In 118, the crossbow bolt hits the Ooslo bird, not Urik. In 44, the bolt hits no one. You go to 268 if you don't. So in terms of the narrative, it shouldn't make any difference whether or not the reader includes Urik in the shield because he doesn't get hit either way.
However, in gameplay terms, 44 allows the reader to skip a lot of troublesome sections where nothing good happens that 118 leads to. Both paths eventually join back up at 25. So for gameplay, 44 is better. So should the reader be rewarded for expending more WP to include Urik? I don't know. The reader is often punished for using a Magical Power at the wrong time.
Thoughts?]
[so: Let's swap the links.]
[tw: I remember noticing this way back in the 80's and I thought it was a punishment for bad decision making. If you're spending extra WP, why not also include your rather essential aircraft? And in general, I am voting not to change things unless they are obvious typos or have severe gameplay/storyline impacts.]
[cn: TBH if you were playing this book you would only realise this imbalance if you had either replayed the book (and happened to remember the roll requirements) or cheated and looked at both sections. if good stuff always happened by expending more WP, then you would simply always use more WP, thus defeating the purpose of having a choice.]
