Project Aon

1: Flight from the Dark

Pending
(ft)295:The text says "Instinctively you duck and draw your weapon.", However, this might not be possible if you only started with only one weapon (Axe) and lost it in section 277 [Reported in this forum thread] (in Spanish)

Fixed
[All occurrences (or just some?) of on to -> onto]
(er)Map:Kaltersee -> Kaltesee
(er)Map:Anskaven -> Anskavern
(er)The Game Rules:ENDURANCE points fall to zero -> ENDURANCE points fall to zero or below
[so: This relates to all other LW/GS/FW books]
(ne)Equipment:Healing potion...when swallowed after combat You only... -> ...combat. You... [missing fullstop]
(er)Rules for Combat:This process of combat continues until ENDURANCE points of either the enemy or Lone Wolf are reduced to zero, ... If the enemy is dead, Lone Wolf proceeds but with his ENDURANCE points reduced. -> This process of combat continues until the ENDURANCE points of either the enemy or Lone Wolf are reduced to zero or below, ... If the enemy is dead, Lone Wolf proceeds but with his ENDURANCE points possibly reduced.
(er)Rules for Combat:at which point the one with the zero score is declared dead. -> at which point that combatant is declared dead.
(er)7:If the number if -> If the number is [tp: Has this seriously avoided detection for this long?]
[so: Apparently so!]
(er)75:border rangers -> Border Rangers [LOT: 'Dawn of the Darklords' consistently refers to the "Border Rangers", but fftd uses "border rangers". (See Section 75.) (TMC uses "Border Rangers" in other places too. I would argue that it should be capitalised.)] [jb: agreed]
(er)131:Magicians Guild -> Magicians' Guild [LOT: (Which is strange, because it's correct in the accompanying illustration.)] [jb: agreed]
(er)132:sumptuous Meal -> sumptuous meal [Dewi Morgan, August 2008]
(er)144:Item from your Backpack -> item from your Backpack [jb: agreed]
(er)163:After nearly an half an hour... -> After nearly half an... [Christian Cognigni]
(er)166, 275:tortuous -> torturous [LeRoy McSwain, Jan 2007]
(ft)181:[Newsletter SS85: The bandits take everything you have, including a Helmet and all Gold Crowns.] [jb: "According to the Summer Special 1985 issue of the Lone Wolf Club Newsletter, 'the bandits took everything you had, including your Helmet and crowns.'"]
(er)228:your axe -> your weapon [Dewi Morgan, August 2008: It is possible to pick up a Weapon in the Equipment section, and also in Section 267 which leads here, so Lone Wolf may no longer be carrying his Axe.]
(er)229:"Or will you continue along the east path by turning to 125?"

[William Weddendorf: should read "west path", not "east path". From page 1, there are two different ways to get from the Kai Monastery to the watchtower in the clearing: [1,141] south to [56,222] south to [140] -or- [1] "right" to [85, 229] "east" to [125] south to [27,250] east to [228] east to [140]. Since the second route basically does a loop, then in traveling from [1] to [85] Lone Wolf has to be traveling west when he takes the right fork, and likewise has to be traveling west to get from [229] to [125]. Otherwise, he would end up back at the monastery.
(er)276:your axe -> your weapon [Dewi Morgan, August 2008: It is possible to pick up a Weapon in the Equipment section, and also in Section 305 which leads here, so Lone Wolf may no longer be carrying his Axe.]
(er)297 [x2]:your axe -> your weapon [Dewi Morgan, August 2008: It is possible to pick up a Weapon in the Equipment section, and also in Section 305 which leads here, so Lone Wolf may no longer be carrying his Axe.]
(er)332:comer -> corner [IK] [jb: agreed]
(er)333:tortuous -> torturous [reported by Solenoid T] [jb: agreed]
(er)336:unsheath -> unsheathe [jb: agreed]
(er)342:your bloods freezes -> your blood freezes [reported by Neurot (Jan 12 2007)]
(er)343:your axe -> your weapon [Dewi Morgan, August 2008: It is possible to pick up a Weapon in the Equipment section, and also in Section 305 which leads here, so Lone Wolf may no longer be carrying his Axe.]
(ft)347:In further adventures torches are available in larger quantities, each taking one Backpack space. Since the text here says: "torches", you could probably take as many as you want, each taking one Backpack Item space. [Reported in this(approve sites) forum thread]
(er)347:is a -> are a
(er)349:magician's guild -> Magicians' Guild [so: maybe?]
[jb: agreed]
(er)Illustrations 1-20:Add period to the end of each caption.
(er)Combat Rules Summary:This is when ENDURANCE points of either character fall to 0. -> This is when ENDURANCE points of either character falls to 0 or below.
[so: This relates to all other LW/GS/FW books]
(er)Combat Rules Summary:Pick number from Random-> Pick a number from the Random
(er)Combat Rules Summary:Turn to Combat -> Turn to the Combat
(er)Combat Rules Summary:to random number -> to the random number
(er)Combat Rules Summary:when ENDURANCE -> when the ENDURANCE
(er)Combat Rules Summary:ignored, -> ignored;

(ft)205:[The wording of the footnote is confusing...]
(ne)illtable:[LOT: Table of Illustrations: does not list the illustrations that appear on the Equipment page.] [jb: agreed]

Rejected
All Books: [LOT: In 'The Game Rules' section of any book, the 4th paragraph (5th paragraph in the Grey Star adventures) says "...write the total in the ENDURANCE section of your Action Chart." But the relevant section in the Action Chart is labeled 'Endurance Points'. Contrast this with the 3rd paragraph, which says "...write the total in the COMBAT SKILL section of your Action Chart". But the relevant section here is 'Combat Skill' and not 'Combat Skill Points'. The WILLPOWER attribute in The World of Lone Wolf is consistent with the latter.]
(er)Kai Disciplines:[LOT: Last paragraph: Given how the line reads, should the link to the Action Chart point to the Action Chart in Book 2?]
[jb: Makes sense on one level, but I doubt that a reader would be expected to be transported to another book at this point. Probably leads to more confusion than clarification.]
(er)Rules for Combat:summary of Combat Rules -> Combat Rules Summary [LOT: That's what the section is called.] [so: If so, this affects all the other books as well.] [jb: I don't think the author meant to exactly reference the title. I'm torn, but am tending to leave as-is.]
(er)Kai Wisdom:any player -> all players [to agree with the plural 'their' in the following clause] [LeRoy McSawin, Jan 2007] [jb: singular "their" is acceptable]
(er)68:go to 130 -> turn to 130 [jb: leave as-is]
(er)104:go to 26 -> turn to 26 [jb: leave as-is]
(er)131:[LOT: 01fftd, Section 131 describes a spell of Banedon's (which I am assuming is 'Lightning Hand') as "a bolt of blue flame", but in 'Dawn of the Darklords' it is described as "a bolt of lightning". (This is more an observation than anything I expect can be "fixed".) ] [jb: Interesting. I agree without calling it Lightning Hand in the section, it's hard to justify changing it. Maybe there's a Blue Dart spell we don't know about.]
(ft)144:[In the unlikely event you have no backpack OR weapons, do you lose any Gold Crowns or a Special Item?]
[SO: If you possess no Backpack Items or Weapons, you will have arrived here via Section 205, which means you'll have no Special Items or Gold Crowns anyway.]
(er)155:As you approach, the group of people stop talking. -> As you approach, the group of people stops talking.
(er)191/220:The bodyguard has CS 11 and EN 21, but in section 220 he has CS 11 and EN 20 (1 endurance point less). The only reason for this might be that you hit him first before you attack him by surprise but the text gives no reasoning as to whether this happens or not.
[JB: There's no real reason that stats must be consistent. Lone Wolf's ultimate god (Dever) can be capricious. Who are we to question?]
(ft)212:[jc: It should be stated that you also lost all of your gold crowns, weapons, backpack items and special items. (Assuming the bantit leader hit you with a crossbow bolt, you have fallen senseless and have been robbed, and later found by king's men.)]
[SO: The only place you lose al your equipment in in Section 205 if you have handed it over to the bandits. You can also arrive at 212 from 205. Since the transition from 145 -> 165 -> 212 is rather unexplained, it seems likely someone intervened to save Lone Wolf after the bolt hits but before the bandits could steal anything. So apparently you keep all of your items.]
(er)235:go to 32 -> turn to 32 [jb: leave as-is]
(er)235:go to 146 -> turn to 146 [jb: leave as-is]
(er)254:go to 32 -> turn to 32 [jb: leave as-is]
(er)254:go to 146 -> turn to 146 [jb: leave as-is]
(er)283 / 342:[You arrive at either of these sections from Section 121. In 283 the Vordak's CS is 17 and his EP is 25, but in 342, his CS is 18 and his EP is 26. I understand why you get the +2CS bonus in 283, but that does not explain why the Vordak's CS & EP differ.]
