Lone Wolf Computer Game in Production

We’ve just received word that Joe Dever has signed a licensing deal with Italian entertainment Atlantyca that promises to bring us lots of Lone Wolf goodness, including a Lone Wolf game for PC, Mac, consoles, Android, and iPad/iPhone. The news was officially announced at the GamesCom Show in Cologne, Germany.

The game has a website and a game teaser trailer. We’ll share more info as it becomes available.

Update: Forge Reply is the actual games developer handling the Lone Wolf project.

Better not be overexcited, not until the game hits the shelves of course.
Atlantyca is not a VG publisher, not until now: they have experience in other things (child literature, cartoons, etc.), but they’re completely newbie about VG.
I fear that they will have to hire some expert coders: I hope they will make a joint venture with some good team (there are some here in Italy), because there are some incompetent persons lurking in the scene…
One thing is certain: even if they’re inexperienced in the VG industry they’re a reliable company, better than the obscure korean software house that tried to make the LW game and that disappeared in a night or so…

May want to download the books:

…just in case the game producer starts litigation to get them taken down.

Of course, if they do pull something like that, they’ll lose me as a customer for the game.

Looks promising. After several false starts on a video game title, it will be nice to see what can be done with today’s technology!

I agree with Blue: this can be either phenomenal or awful. It’s begging to be a game that people will love, and it would be so easy to destroy it. I’m keeping my hopes high!

Awesome! Hey, think about it, the longer we wait, the better the graphics!

Atlantyca is not developing the game, just helped Forge with the licensing deal.

Forge is the owner of the rights to develop and publish games and it’s the team in charge to go on with the project

The developers Forge Reply does not really stand out. Couple of games that you never heard of and a quality that leave much to desire.

    So. Don’t be overexcited.

Back in 2008 there are some videos of a LW game, from a company of Singapour, viewable on Youtube.
Seems it has been cancelled or rights handled to the italian company by… whoever have the books rights I think…
