How do I join Project Aon?

The first step in volunteering for Project Aon is joining the members mailing list. This is where we discuss our work and communicate in general. Even if you don't intend to contribute directly to Project Aon, you're still welcome to join the mailing list. You subscribe to the mailing list by entering your email in the form below.

Note: Some Hotmail users have experienced problems subscribing. If this happens to you, please use the contact form to request to be subscribed.

Once you have joined the mailing list, you'll want to find something to do. Here are some of the jobs that we are always doing:

  • Transcribing: the initial stage of taking the text and getting it into electronic format
  • Proofread the transcriptions: the second step involves formatting and checking the accuracy of the transcribed text
  • Edit: the final step in getting the books ready for publication
