NAME: Simon Osborne
FORMER PROJECT AON DUTIES: Proofreader
CURRENT DUTIES: Editor; partial PR consultant; Research; Wishlist co-maintainer; non-gamebook PDF maintainer
DETAILS:
The duties of a Project Aon Proofreader can be found here. Simon was generally a little too enthusiastic in proofreading, and sometimes quality suffered as a result. Fortunately, Ingo always checks the posted text against the OED and so most errors are found very quickly. Simon has retired from proofreading in favour of editing.
The duties of a Project Aon Editor can be found here. Simon specialises in checking the original material for errors, and also in confirming any reported errors as Errata or Not Errata. Posts many retroactive fixes to the mailing list.
Public Relations covers a wide range of duties for Project Aon. Primarily this involves replying to many of the Contact Form comments/questions, though Simon wouldn't mind a bit more help! Some questions cannot easily be fielded by Simon or other volunteers, so they are left for Jon to deal with. (Jon's wiki page is here.)
A second role in PR is to do with contacting artists and companies who have produced work for Lone Wolf, either directly for Joe Dever or under license. Project Aon hopes to gather together as much of this information as possible for their range of exclusive PDF files. Simon is ably assisted in this endeavour by Cerulean. A great deal of Research is involved in tracking down the artists/companies involved.
The Wishlist is a cooperative venture by Simon and Cerulean to document all known information about licensed Lone Wolf material that has not yet been definitively catalogued for the Project Aon PDF files.
The Non-gamebook PDF range for Project Aon covers a variety of topics. Some, such as The Magnamund Companion are PDF versions of official Lone Wolf books. Others, such as the LW_misc file are collections of adverts, articles, and photographs of Lone Wolf-related material from the past 20+ years. Simon also maintains the Project Aon editions of the Lone Wolf Club Newsletters.
