Dominic McDowall, Cubicle 7 CEO said, “I grew up with Lone Wolf, and so it’s a dream come true to be working with Joe on this classic series. We’ve got some very exciting plans for the Kai and Magnamund, which we’ll be sharing over the coming weeks.”

When Joe Dever announced the Mongoose cancellation on Project Aon, I suggested here that C7 would be a great fit – a British RPG company who are putting out top quality IPs. It’s nice to see that, for once, the best and most logical choice has actually happened!

Hope Jon Hodgson does some of the art for this and it’d be great to see Gary Chalk do some work for it too if possible – I love the original covers for the first 4 Lone Wolf gamebooks and it’d be interesting to see how Jon H would bring Magnamund to life.

Really great news. So happy for Joe, C7 and the rest of us!

I want to be happy about this, but Cubical 7 seem to be a bit hit-and-miss to me. They’ve done a good job with Dr Who, but the two FATE games they have put out seem to have been left to wither on the vine.

What two FATE games are those, dbm? Are they produced in-house by Cubicle 7 or are they released in partnership with other companies, who are responsible for producing new material rather than C7? If they’re the ones I think you mean (Legends of Anglerre and Starblazer Adventures) then those are lines developed outside C7 and released thru’ C7’s partnership channel.

I am thinking about Stargazer and Legends. The Cubical 7 website is very unclear about what they have produced and what they just published.

Yeah, those are both published through partnership so Cubicle 7 don’t support them directly so your initial comment regarding ” Cubical [sic] 7 seem to be a bit hit-and-miss to me. … but the two FATE games they have put out seem to have been left to wither on the vine” isn’t accurate so thought best to check and correct your thinking.

Would you care to name some of the games they do produce directly?
